The largest number of sanatoria is operating in the regions of Odessa, Zakarpatie, Kherson and Zaporozhie. According to the data of State Statistics Service, only 2% of all sanatorium complexes of the state are in private property. Nevertheless, this parameter may increase very soon because the closure of public complexes and their purchase by businessmen may turn in development of promising business niche in Ukraine.

Sanatoria providing treatment services with stress on the health resort elements are the most popular in Ukraine. The clients often buy temporary residence in the complexes specialized in care of patients with cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases and locomotor apparatus. In general, about 1 mln. of Ukrainians visited sanatoria of Ukraine during the last year. This number is lower than during the previous periods due to the price growth and decrease of sanatoria number.

If to talk about pricing policy of health resort complexes, it did not change significantly. In 2016 average price of one day of stay at the sanatorium amounted to UAH: 350-450.
