Pro-Consulting took part in the FMCG & Retail Supply Chain Forum 2017

Senior analyst of Pro-Consulting analytical department Andrii Mokriakov became a speaker at the conference devoted to the formation of a demand-oriented and efficient supply chain in the FMCG segment.

The topic of the report was the current state of the retail market for fast-moving goods in Ukraine. The following challenges and trends in the market were considered:

• Reduction of real incomes and purchasing power of the population in crisis conditions;
• Drop in sales of imported goods;
• The development of retail chains in spite of the crisis and the growth of the popularity of Private Label;
• Displacement of retail outlets;
• Chances of the success of e-commerce in FMCG;
• Sales volumes in the segment of food products and cosmetics and perfumes;
• Geographical and branch structure of sales in the Ukrainian retail;
• The largest players in retail;
• General economic and internal trends in the FMCG trade.

The main message of the presentation was the need to change the format of large players in order to increase the presence in the regions and sales in the conditions of economic recovery of Ukraine.
